Some of the best performing small cap stocks on the day included:

Amber Road Inc. (AMBR)

Shares of Amber Road were up 25.8%, or $2.66 on the day after agreeing to go private in an all-cash transaction valued at about $425 million with E2open for $13.25 a share. E2open, like Amber Road, provides supply-chain software that helps companies plan, collaborate, and operate their logistics. Amber Road CEO James Preuninger said that "the deal will also deliver an excellent return for Amber Road's shareholders."

Charles & Colvard Ltd. (CTHR)

Shares of CTHR were up 22%, or 36 cents on the day after releasing earning on May 9, 2019.

For the third quarter Fiscal 2019, the Company reported net sales of $7.9 million and net income of $0.8 million, or $0.04 per diluted share. Suzanne Miglucci, President and CEO said, “We are thrilled to deliver our third consecutive quarter of profitability led by continued double-digit revenue growth and careful expense control. Revenue growth of 17% was powered by a 55% increase in sales from our e-commerce website and a 107% increase in international sales, which collectively led to a strong gross margin level of 47%. We are seeing the results of our omni-channel distribution strategy, expanded e-commerce partnerships, global digital marketing efforts, enhanced product line and customer focus.”

P.A.M. Transportation Services Inc. (PTSI)

Shares of PTSI were up 20.5% or $9.56 on the day after announcing the commencement of a modified “Dutch auction” tender offer to purchase up to 200,000 shares, or about 3.4%, of its outstanding common stock at a price of not less than $55.00 and not more than $60.00 per share.
